I study medicine but for this year I am intercalating in the Clinical Sciences iBSc. I chose this iBSc as it was the most flexible in the fact that our first term goes over clinical sciences and then in second term you can chose any 2 modules you want, so I can pursue interests in clinical sciences as well doing some modules in the department of engineering sciences. Hopefully this will give me some good general knowledge on the use and sciences behind different medical devices used in surgery and general medical applications, like pacemakers and DBS devices, which was something I was interested in.

I am quite interested in a career in neurology or neurosurgery or a career in interventional surgeries which will combine my interests in medtech with my interest in medicine
